First up is a sick track from The Last Emperor, from his upcoming album The Last Emperor & The Wizard’s Wardrobe. This video just dropped so check it out. Below I have included Secret Wars I & II by The Last Emperor, two unreal hip-hop tracks blending comic book battles. Definitely check them out!
Secret Wars Part I:
Secret Wars Part II:
The Last Emperor has a lot of great tracks so make sure you dig for more!
Just stumbled upon these guys, they are featured as Shambhala’s Artist of the Day, and I noticed that one of the dudes is from GetGroundedTV who constantly provide sick hip-hop content. Check out these really dope Canadian artists!
Damn, Dessa is way too awesome. Check out her new visuals for the track “Alibi” off of her latest release, A Badly Broken Code. Amazing video, amazing song.
Awesome stop-motion video from Harper Rose for Jay Electra’s “Candy Man”. This is not an official music video, but it is really dope nonetheless so check it out!
Really dope song and visuals from Ruslan, Blame One & Braille about being domesticated. Produced by Exile, one of my favorite producers. Ruslan is part of theBREAX, based out of California, and this track is from his Right Out Loud: The Prequel EP, which is available on iTunes and fully worth it.
Paying homage to the Public Enemy track, Toki Wright expresses his views on the recently passed bill in Arizona that allows local police departments the authority to identify, detain, and deport anyone they deem to be illegally in the US based solely on suspicion. After the jump there is a statement from Toki so check it out. Big ups to HipHopLinguistics or I probably would have missed this.
This is part one of three of an interview series with spoken-word legend Saul Williams. Check it out below, and check out GetGroundedTV for the other parts as well as more music, interviews, reviews, etc!
Dope music video for an equally dope song. Stanza is an emcee from Atlanta but I don’t know much else. I’ll update this in the morning after some research (most likely).
First I’ve heard from Canadian brother/sister duo Eekwol & Mils. This track features Luckyiam of The Living Legends crew, who you can catch at The Republik tomorrow in Calgary. Check the video out above, and more information about Eekwol & Mils after the break.
Director Rik Cordero brings us another very well done video for Freeway & Jake One’s latest single, “She Makes Me Feel Alright”. This track is off of the recently released “Stimulus Package”, which, if you haven’t heard yet, I suggest you go check out right now. Philly Freezer picking up some very fine looking ladies. After the jump I have included the first music video from this album, which was “Know What I Mean”.
New (really dope) music video from Red Cafe produced by the legendary Pete Rock. The video shows the streets of New York and attempts to capture the essence of NYC. Definitely feeling this one, Red doesn’t sound as much like Obie Trice anymore. Hit the jump for lyrics a more detailed description of the video.
